This model is develloped and manufactured by us in New Zealand and is ideally suited to the following situations:
If you are disconnected from the electricity grid
If you experience frequent power cuts
If you have a fireplace with a wetback
We have combined our high performance solar fin vacuum tube solar thermal collectors with either a low pressure copper or mains pressure duplex stainless steel hot water storage cylinder complete with wetback connections.
The solar thermal collectors heat the water inside the storage tank by natural thermosiphon. Circulating pumps and controllers are therefor not required and dependance on electricity is eliminated.
When matched to your consumption requirements the solar collectors will provide between 75% and 85% of your annual hot water heating requirements. Combined with a wetback all your hot water heating needs will be met. We will recommend the most suitable model for your situation or will provide a tailor made solution.

Data sheet for Gisborne Job
This model is manufactured to our specifications and ideally suited to the following situations:
If you are looking for a cost effective way to enjoy mains pressure solar heated hot water
If you have an existing wetback hot water cylinder
If you have an existing gas or electric hot water cylinder
If you have a gas califont
We have combined our high performance 70mm solar fin vacuum tube solar thermal collectors with an enamel mains pressure rated hot water storage cylinder.
The solar thermal collectors heat the water inside the storage tank by natural thermosiphon. Circulating pumps and controllers are therefor not required and dependance on electricity is eliminated.
There will be times during extended periods of rain then the hot water buffer is depleted. Any top up heating can be provided by the built in electric heating element, or depending on the installtion configuration, by a gas califont or your existing hot water cylinder.
When matched to your consumption requirements this unit will provide between 75% and 85% of your annual hot water heating requirements. When used in combination with a wetback hot water cylinder you are totally self reliant. We will recommend the most suitable model for your situation.
The mains pressure thermosyphon solar water tank can be used as the only hot water source. Alternatively it can be used as a pre heater by connecting it in series with any existing hot water cylinder or gas califont.
Simply connect the cold water supply to the tank inlet, and connect the hot water outlet to your hot water plumbing. We do recommend that you fit a hot water tempering valve to limit the hot water temperature at the tap to a maximum of 60 °C.
The water storage tank is suitable for water supply pressures of up to 5 Bar, 500 kPa. Ofcourse you can supply water at a lower pressure to suit your existing plumbing fixtures.
The main benefits of this product are:
Suitable for low pressure at 35 kPa - 3.5 m minimum head
Suitable for mains pressure at 500 kPa - 50 m maximum head
Can be connected in series with any existing hot water cylinder
Can be connected in series with on demand gas califont - califont bypass valve required
Supplied with support frame for flat roof or on the ground installations
Supplied with pitched roof mounting brackets
